## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own and close 6–8 priority technical searches full-cycle (backend, infrastructure/SRE, data engineering), partnering directly with engineering leadership.
- Build calibrated scorecards and live pipelines for every search.
- Pitch Alembic credibly to senior engineers.
- Run structured hiring loops with same-week feedback.
- Diagnose funnels by root cause using data.
- Push back on hiring teams with evidence-based arguments.
- Experiment with new AI tools and methods to improve recruiting.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting (software, infrastructure, or ML) at companies with a high bar.
- Proven closer's track record: specific examples of winning candidates against stronger brands.
- Ability to learn businesses fast and sell them fluently.
- Consultative approach with ability to push back effectively.
- High content-to-word ratio: plain, honest, proactive communication.
- Urgency combined with meticulous detail.
- Data proficiency for funnel diagnosis.
- AI-native practice: regularly experiments with new tools.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in structured hiring (scorecards, calibrated loops).
- Background in AI or causal AI recruiting.
- Track record of building or improving talent processes.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $125,000 - $160,000
- Meaningful equity in a Series B company.
