## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Advise account managers, accounting, and management on best practices for handling billing disputes.
- Negotiate with customers and carriers using contractual terms and industry norms.
- Identify and analyze fraudulent misuse, including Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT), International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF), and billing errors such as rate differences.
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer and vendor disputes, from intake and initiation through tracking and documented resolution.
- Resolve discrepancies, overcharges, and unpaid balances caused by quantities, rates, currency, and other root causes.
- Analyze call and messaging data to identify billing mismatches and fraud evidence.
- Build dashboards communicating key dispute-lifecycle metrics.
- Read contracts and interpret expected invoices against actual invoices.
- Negotiate dispute resolutions, settlements, and payment terms in accordance with company practices.
- Partner with data analytics, engineering, and accounting to reconcile accounts.

## Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in telecom billing, revenue assurance, wholesale SMS billing settlements, and/or CPaaS fraud operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience negotiating disputes with customers or vendors.
- Experience in collections, dispute resolution, or billing analysis.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience using Excel or Google Sheets, Looker, or SQL for data analysis.

## Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of the A2P SMS ecosystem, international traffic routing, IRSF, AIT, and ecosystem profit chains.
- Familiarity with AIT and fraud-handling frameworks from i3forum, GSMA, MEF, or ITW Global Leaders’ Forum.
- Understanding of Call Detail Records (CDRs) and experience building dispute case files.
- Experience with Airtable or dashboard development.
- Experience in telecom, technology, or consulting.
- Advanced data analysis experience with Python or scripting.
- Experience with AI and automation tools.
