## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and execute rigorous, claims-based ROI studies for digital musculoskeletal (MSK) healthcare solutions.
- Coordinate vendors and data acquisition, transform claims data using SQL and Python, and apply advanced econometric methods.
- Present study results to health plan analysts, actuaries, clients, and internal commercial stakeholders.
- Identify health economics endpoints and measurement strategies for clinical studies.
- Own the health economics research agenda for an MSK condition or product line.
- Publish peer-reviewed research or present findings at academic and industry conferences.
- Build reusable data pipelines from claims and EHR warehouses in Databricks.
- Collaborate with Client Success, Marketing, Commercial, and Product teams.

## Requirements
- Master's or PhD in health economics, health services research, epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
- 3–5 years of experience applying econometric methods to healthcare cost questions, including causal inference, cost-effectiveness analysis, or budget impact modeling.
- 3–5 years of experience with large-scale commercial, Medicare, or Medicaid claims databases.
- Understanding of medical billing practices and health insurance structures.
- Fluent programming skills in R, SQL, and/or Python.

## Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in health economics or health services research.
- 2–5 years of experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or similar cloud data platforms.
- Peer-reviewed publication record or academic/industry conference presentation experience.
- Experience in digital health or MSK care, value-based care models, or population health analytics.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
