## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Launch and scale paid media channels specific to the China market, including WeChat Ads, Baidu SEM, Douyin/Ocean Engine, Xiaohongshu, Zhihu, Bilibili, and programmatic platforms such as Tencent Guangdiantong and ByteDance Pangolin.
- Develop and execute a testing roadmap to prove channel viability by defining hypotheses, running experiments, measuring incrementality, and making go/no-go recommendations on scaling investment.
- Own web optimization and landing page localization for Chinese audiences.
- Build measurement frameworks for China-specific channels and partner with analytics to attribute performance through signups, activations, and revenue.
- Manage campaign budgets, pacing, and performance reporting.
- Unblock, set up, and navigate media platforms and partnerships in the market.
- Stay current on China's digital marketing landscape, including platform algorithm changes, content regulations, privacy laws such as PIPL, and emerging channels.
- Partner with regional marketing, sales, and product marketing to align paid media with broader China go-to-market strategy.
- Write concise performance updates and strategic recommendations for global stakeholders.

## Requirements

- 5+ years of digital marketing experience with significant hands-on experience running paid campaigns on China-native platforms such as WeChat, Baidu, Douyin, or Xiaohongshu.
- High professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, including the ability to write ad copy, review creative, and communicate strategy in both languages.
- Deep knowledge of the China digital marketing ecosystem, including platform mechanics, ad formats, targeting capabilities, content regulations, and user behavior.
- Experience launching new channels from scratch and taking them from 0 to 1, proving their value, and scaling them.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze campaign data and make data-driven optimization decisions.
- Experience in B2B marketing, SaaS, developer tools, fintech, or high-growth technology companies.
- Ability to drive strategic and tactical work forward with minimal oversight.
- Excellent written communication skills.

## Nice-to-haves

- 7+ years of digital marketing experience with deep China market specialization.
- Experience marketing to developers or technical audiences in China.
- Familiarity with China-specific analytics and attribution tools.
- Experience with web optimization, CRO, or landing page testing for Chinese audiences.
- Understanding of China's regulatory environment as it relates to digital advertising, including PIPL, CAC content regulations, and industry-specific ad restrictions.
- Experience working in a global company with cross-time-zone collaboration.
