> The Founding GTM Recruiter will build and lead recruiting pipelines for commercial roles across Japan, partnering with senior GTM leaders to map talent, shape hiring strategy, and close exceptional candidates. The role requires high-growth technology recruiting experience, strong market knowledge, and fluency in Japanese and English.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruiting for go-to-market roles across Singapore and the wider Japan region.
- Build talent maps across enterprise software, AI, developer tools, cloud, infrastructure, and high-growth technology companies.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, calibrate candidates, shape interview processes, and develop candidate profiles.
- Source, engage, and close exceptional passive candidates.
- Represent Cognition’s story clearly and credibly in the market.
- Guide candidates through a high-bar hiring process while maintaining an excellent candidate experience.
- Use data and market insight to assess pipeline quality, conversion, compensation signals, and hiring risks.
- Improve recruiting processes and build scalable recruiting capabilities across Japan.
- Advise talent strategy and hiring decisions rather than simply managing process.

## Requirements
- Proven experience recruiting go-to-market talent for high-growth technology companies.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software, SaaS, AI, infrastructure, developer tools, or cloud markets.
- Experience hiring across Japan and broader markets.
- Ability to identify and engage high-caliber passive candidates.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to challenge, calibrate, and advise senior hiring leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- High agency, ownership, and attention to detail.
- Track record of hiring high-quality commercial talent in competitive markets.
- Comfort operating in a fast-changing, zero-to-one environment.
- Strong sourcing discipline and ability to build pipeline without relying on inbound applications or agencies.
- Builder mindset with a focus on improving recruiting systems while delivering results.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience building early go-to-market teams in new international markets.
- Recruiting experience in frontier AI, developer tools, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise software.
- Understanding of both commercial hiring and technical-adjacent go-to-market roles.
- Experience partnering with regional general managers, sales vice presidents, or founding country leaders.
- Ability to move between strategic talent mapping and hands-on execution.
- Strong focus on candidate quality, not just speed.
- Experience closing candidates with multiple competing opportunities.
