## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build and deliver scalable, secure backend services for the core product.
- Design and implement systems for retrieval over petabyte-scale document collections and large-scale data-collection pipelines.
- Build backend infrastructure for complex, 1000-step planning agents and interfaces for human-AI collaboration.
- Contribute to the architecture and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Engineer systems with stringent security and reliability standards for sensitive data.

## Requirements
- **5+ years** of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated impact on production backend systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python.
- Experience with distributed systems, large-scale data processing, or cloud infrastructure.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, high-quality backend systems and launch robust products or platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ownership, bias for action, pragmatic problem-solving, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

## Nice to Have
- 4–8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Experience in a hyper-growth or 0-to-1 startup environment.
- Experience with Spark or comparable large-scale data-processing systems.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- TypeScript and React experience for full-stack contributions.
