## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Work closely with design and production teams to solve quality problems.
- Own and manage assigned corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), ensuring timely closure and effective corrective actions.
- Participate in configuration management processes.
- Advise teams on achieving quality goals and implementing changes to reduce human and machine errors.
- Meet with internal and external customers to define quality expectations, performance requirements, and visual specifications.
- Develop quality documents, processes, and procedures, and communicate specifications to responsible teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and defect reduction through data analysis.
- Support nonconformance and noncompliance investigations, including root-cause analysis, corrective-action definition, and effectiveness verification.
- Lead program and quality assurance reviews.
- Monitor monthly quality performance metrics and drive countermeasures for processes missing KPI/PPI targets.
- Review customer and company requirements to ensure they are incorporated into product and process requirements.
- Review quality policies, procedures, and processes for compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Maintain, enforce, and measure quality assurance processes.
- Monitor team activities, assign duties, and ensure work quality and compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Represent quality processes during internal and external third-party audits.
- Conduct internal product, process, and procedure audits.
- Support development and growth of the APQP process.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, assessments, and audits as needed.
- Manage the Quality department budget.
- Develop team talent and address performance issues.
- Travel up to 20%.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); master's degree preferred.
- 6+ years of Quality Management experience in Defense, Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive manufacturing.
- 6+ years of direct Quality Management supervisory experience in Defense, Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive manufacturing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and self-guidedly.
- Auditing experience within the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard.
- Experience managing First Article Inspection and PPAPs.
- Working knowledge of Material Review Board (MRB) standards, practices, and customer engagement.
- Experience facilitating Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
- Experience with dimensional inspection techniques and interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, 8D, and A3 problem solving.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, TS16949, or an equivalent quality management system.
- Experience launching new programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and NetSuite or similar ERP systems such as SAP or Plex.
- Experience in configuration management.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.

## Nice-to-Haves
- ASQ certification, such as CQE or CQA.
- Familiarity with IPC-620, IPC J-STD-001, or IPC-A-610 standards.
- GD&T training.
- ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent lead auditor certification.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience.
- Compliance and regulatory experience.
- Ability to use the DMAIC process.
- Customer interaction and presentation skills.

## Compensation
- US salary range: **$135,000–$175,000**.
- Equity is included in most Forterra compensation packages.
