## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements from initial legal review through final signature, partnering with sales, deal desk, and other stakeholders.
- Review and negotiate inbound commercial contracts, including AI, SaaS, technology, master and professional services, consulting, marketing, agency, media, event, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Improve commercial contracting processes by developing contracting playbooks, internal policies and procedures, and optimized AI contracting tools and contract lifecycle management workflows.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, escalating complex issues to subject-matter experts and senior legal team members as needed.
- Provide business-oriented legal advice on contract terms, deal structures, and commercial legal risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate business, operational, and product requirements into clear legal terms.

## Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant commercial law experience in-house at a technology company or in a corporate/technology transactions practice at a reputable law firm.
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex technology and commercial contracts, ideally covering both customer-facing and vendor/inbound contracting.
- Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership, flexibility, adaptability, and interest in building and improving internal processes and resources.

## Nice-to-haves
- Fintech or financial services experience, or familiarity with fintech product structures.
- Working knowledge of privacy issues in a commercial context.
- Experience working directly with a deal desk team.
- Experience with AI contracting tools or contract lifecycle management (CLM) technology.

## Compensation
- Expected salary range: **$220,000–$270,000 USD**.
- Starting base pay depends on location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity.
- Equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
