## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver software components for the carrier integration platform, including new development, refactoring, and deprecation.
- Build and maintain third-party carrier API integrations, improving the reliability and maintainability of existing integrations.
- Own software quality end to end, from design through implementation, release, and production monitoring.
- Partner with product, support, and engineering teams to translate carrier capability needs into working software.
- Build internal tools for launching, operating, and troubleshooting carrier integrations.
- Contribute to technical direction through story refinement, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and resolve operational issues within your area.
- Support teammate growth through peer review, design feedback, documentation, and onboarding.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver software components from design through release and monitoring.
- Experience with third-party APIs and integrations.
- Experience debugging and operating distributed systems in production, including on-call participation.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience giving and receiving code and design feedback.
- Working knowledge of Python or Go, with the ability to become effective in the other.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or carrier/marketplace integrations.
- Experience with authentication and API security practices.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting for technical decisions.
- Experience applying AI tooling to accelerate development.
- Experience in a distributed, remote-first engineering organization.
