## Job Description

## What You'll Do

- Mentored fellow data engineers through code reviews, architectural decisions, and technical planning sessions
- Led the design and implementation of scalable, secure data pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, and SQL
- Collaborated with Product Managers to launch new customer-facing analytics capabilities
- Partnered with DevOps to optimize cloud infrastructure with **Terraform** and **AWS**-managed services
- Built and maintained integrations with **MySQL**, **SQL Server**, and **OLAP** systems to support product insights and internal operations
- Participated in our on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and performance
- Contributed to the hiring, onboarding, and professional development of the Data Engineering team
- Explored and evaluated new tools—including AI-assisted coding platforms like **Claude** and **Windsurf**—to improve engineering workflows

## What You'll Need

- Strong proficiency in **SQL** and **Python**
- Hands-on experience with **AWS** infrastructure and data services
- Familiarity with **MySQL**, **SQL Server**, and **OLAP** databases
- Experience using **Terraform** or other infrastructure-as-code tools
- Expertise in modern data tooling, particularly **dbt** and **Apache Airflow**
- Operating reliable and performant pipelines in production environments
- Building data platforms that support both internal stakeholders and external customers

## Compensation

Target base annual salary range of **$170,000 - $210,000**, plus bonus opportunity, company stock options, and a full benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k.
