## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the technical vision to build products customers value.
- Develop and maintain low-latency, massively scalable developer-facing APIs.
- Build and maintain a robust data platform supporting data science teams.
- Design and implement systems that support product and company growth.
- Debug production issues across all levels of the stack.
- Collaborate effectively to deliver value to customers and internal stakeholders.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building and scaling backend Python-based systems in fast-paced environments.
- Experience developing REST APIs and writing performant SQL.
- Experience building with AWS infrastructure.
- Experience building systems from scratch, making trade-offs, and executing autonomously in early-stage environments.
- Customer-focused mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Collaborative mindset, openness to mentorship, and focus on professional growth.
- Based in NYC with ability to work from the Flatiron office at least 2 days per week.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Django proficiency.
- Familiarity with PySpark, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Hex.
- Experience with AWS CDK.
- Experience with transaction, merchant, or location data.
- Experience or interest in fintech or data products.
