## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Internal Communications
- Own the internal communications strategy, calendar, and multi-channel distribution framework across People and COO organizations.
- Write and edit clear, engaging content for internal audiences across the internal wiki and other channels.
- Craft consistent messaging about company updates, initiatives, and achievements.
- Support leadership with change and reorganization communications, ensuring transparency and buy-in.
- Manage and optimize email, intranet, Slack, and other digital communication channels.
- Develop and maintain a crisis communications plan for unexpected events affecting the company and employees.

### Employee Listening
- Design and run an employee listening framework across employee groups and key moments, at least quarterly.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to assess communications and programs, translating feedback into action.

### Recognition and Culture
- Build, document, pilot, and iterate a company-wide recognition framework.
- Integrate recognition into tools and processes such as Slack and Workday, aligned with company values.
- Identify and help launch culture initiatives grounded in company values.
- Track and report awareness and adoption through employee surveys.

### Events and Community
- Design connection frameworks for events and community programming, including remote and distributed hubs.
- Plan and deliver company events with attendance and satisfaction goals.

### Data and Storytelling
- Analyze and accurately present survey, attendance, engagement, and participation data.
- Use data to tell clear stories that drive decisions.

## Requirements
- 6+ years of experience across internal communications and employee experience or engagement.
- Excellent clear, simple writing and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience designing employee listening, feedback, or survey programs.
- Experience building or running employee recognition programs.
- Experience planning and executing company-wide events or community programming, including for distributed or remote teams.
- Strong ability to analyze and present data accurately and use it to tell a story.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and lead and execute independently as a senior individual contributor.
- Experience collaborating with employees and executives at all levels.
- Fluency in best practices across internal communication channels.
- Understanding of how communications, recognition, culture, and leadership intersect.
- Experience driving behavior change through communications and program design.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in founder-led startup organizations.
- Experience with Notion.
- Fluency with AI tools.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $140,054–$175,067.50 USD.
