## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Execute public policy communications strategy set by communications and executive leadership teams.
- Translate company positions into talking points, event backgrounders, and rapid responses; relay policymaker intelligence to legal, policy, and product teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with Hill staff in personal offices and committees, executive branch staff, trade associations, think tanks, and civil society organizations.
- Advocate directly by taking meetings, delivering company positions, and tracking relevant bills and rulemakings within lobbying disclosure and ethics requirements.
- Manage the Washington, D.C. event program, including Hill briefings, roundtables, product demonstrations, receptions, dinners, and off-sites; own guest lists, venues, run of show, and follow-up.
- Represent the company in coalitions and trade association working groups.
- Partner with think tanks and civil society organizations on convenings, research launches, and joint programming.
- Prepare leaders for D.C. engagements through briefing books, meeting preparation, and post-meeting recaps.

## Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Capitol Hill experience in a personal office or committee strongly preferred.
- External lobbying experience at a government relations organization, law firm representing clients, or in-house corporate role.
- Registered lobbying experience under the Lobbying Disclosure Act strongly preferred.
- Established Washington network and ability to continue expanding it.
- Experience executing events end to end, from small Hill briefings to large receptions.
- Strong writing and briefing skills.
- Sound judgment and ability to represent a company effectively without a script.
- Genuine interest in AI policy and willingness to learn the substance of AI products.
- Comfort with a demanding Washington schedule, including occasional evenings.
- Based in Washington, D.C.; in office four days per week with occasional travel.

## Nice-to-haves
- Hill experience covering judiciary, commerce, intelligence, or AI portfolios.
- Experience staffing a principal at a company, agency, or trade association.
- Existing relationships across Washington's AI and technology policy community.
