## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own and manage the monthly accounting close, ensuring it is timely, consistent, and accurate.
- Partner with external accounting providers on monthly close procedures and reconciliations.
- Work with department leaders on expense tagging, allocations, and reporting.
- Prepare the reporting package after close.
- Build revenue reporting processes for self-serve and enterprise business lines.
- Drive automation using newly implemented accounting and reporting tooling.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, vendor management, accounting policies, sales tax, and 1099s.
- Establish and document internal controls appropriate for a growing company.
- Maintain accurate reconciliations and audit-ready documentation.
- Improve accounting processes, policies, reporting, tooling, and internal systems.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience across public accounting, senior accountant, or accounting manager roles.
- Hands-on ownership of month-end close and account reconciliations.
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Audit experience, including preparing PBC support and workpapers.
- Experience with accounting tools and systems.
- Strong spreadsheet formulas and tooling skills.
- Ability to work with high volumes of transactions and unstructured data.
- Highly self-directed and comfortable operating without a fully established playbook.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity.

## Nice to Have
- CPA or progress toward a CPA.
- Experience working with external tax and accounting partners.
- Experience in a finance or accounting role at a high-growth startup.
- Knowledge of usage-based revenue recognition.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $140,000, depending on experience.
- Equity range: $50,000 to $150,000.
