## Job Description

## About the Role

Decagon's Research team pushes boundaries in AI agent development, including model training, agent architecture, and evaluation systems for enterprise-scale conversational experiences.

**In this role, you will:**
- Define the strategy and roadmap for Decagon's Research team, including model training, evaluation, and experimentation
- Work closely with customers to understand their problems and requirements
- Translate these into clear model requirements and partner with engineering to deliver them
- Interface with Engineering, Infrastructure, Agent PM, and GTM teams
- Manage relationships with key external partners

**Your background:**
- 5+ years of relevant experience (e.g., product manager, founder, engineer, researcher)
- Experience developing AI/ML models in a research environment
- Strong technical acumen (model architecture, training data, eval pipelines)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proven track record of shipping impactful features in fast-paced environments

**Even better:**
- Computer Science, Engineering, or Math degree or equivalent
- Experience at a startup or high-growth company
- Experience on enterprise B2B products

**Compensation:** $200K – $285K + equity
