## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Manage and execute all aspects of litigation and related matters, including subpoenas and demands.
- Conduct factual investigations, case analysis, and exposure analysis.
- Review pleadings and other litigation documents.
- Lead discovery and fact gathering, including witness preparation.
- Work with outside counsel to implement nuanced and efficient litigation strategies.
- Provide compliance counseling to operations teams to mitigate litigation risk.
- Advise People/HR across the employment lifecycle, including leaves, accommodations, wage and hour matters, worker classification, and disputes.
- Build cross-functional relationships to identify and implement product and process improvements.
- Develop expertise in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and related state laws as they apply to company products and services.

## Requirements
- JD degree.
- Admission to the California bar in good standing.
- 5+ years of substantive litigation experience, including employment matters.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Pragmatic, strategic approach to assessing and communicating risk in the context of business goals.
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Experience with criminal law.
- Experience with international employment counseling.
- Interest in new technologies and leveraging AI.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: **$188,000–$221,000 USD**.
