## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Prepare and review US Federal tax returns and IRS e-filings, focusing on partnership tax returns for venture capital funds and investment vehicles using Carta's proprietary tax engine.
- Collaborate with accounting, fund administration, and compliance teams on tax issues related to products and services.
- Work on team projects in legal and financial areas, interact with clients on investment structures.
- Productize tax workflows for speed and accuracy, contribute to building and scaling the tax engine.

## Requirements

- US Federal tax experience preparing and filing partnership tax returns.
- Fully qualified CPA (or eligible to sit for CPA exam).
- High attention to detail (written and quantitative), navigate complex tax structures.
- Organized, calm under pressure, manage competing demands, solve ambiguous problems.
- Passionate about venture capital, understand client pressures.
- Experience leveraging technologies to automate processes.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, communication, and multitasking skills.

## Compensation

- Expected cash compensation range: $90,440 - $106,400 in Seattle, WA.
