## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction in Dublin, setting architecture, reliability, performance, and quality standards.
- Make technical trade-offs explicit and maintain high engineering standards.
- Build and mentor a small team by hiring engineers, developing their skills, and fostering a high-trust, high-feedback culture.
- Work directly with EMEA customers to translate complex problems into shippable work and measure outcomes.
- Own critical systems end-to-end, including:
  - Data and retrieval pipelines processing thousands of conversations per day across Zendesk, Intercom, and Salesforce.
  - LLM evaluation and generation flows, including prompting, retrieval, safety and guardrails, evaluations, and observability.
  - Real-time scoring, analytics, and coaching loops that drive measurable customer experience improvements.
  - Fast, resilient user interfaces using Next.js and React.
- Partner with teams in San Francisco and Dublin across product, design, and go-to-market.
- Ship meaningful products, enable go-to-market teams, run customer demos, troubleshoot customer issues, and inform strategic investments.
- Lead a small Dublin pod, mentor engineers, contribute to customer revenue growth, and provide roadmap input.

## Requirements
- At least 4 years of engineering experience, ideally at a Series A to C startup shipping complex, customer-facing products.
- Strong technical leadership, including mentoring engineers, leading technical decisions, or architecting significant product areas.
- Deep expertise in modern web technologies, product architecture, or AI integrations.
- Ability to work quickly, navigate ambiguity, and tackle challenging problems independently.
- Willingness to work closely with customers and collaborate in an office environment.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with challenging or notable technical projects.
- Experience integrating AI or large language models into products.
- A portfolio, GitHub profile, or personal project demonstrating work you are proud of.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time role based in the Dublin office.
- Close collaboration with experienced founders and significant ownership over technical and product direction.
- Supportive, mature, and collaborative team culture.
- Opportunities to mentor teammates, work directly with customers, and shape a growing EMEA engineering hub.
