## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Be a strategic leader in identifying technical and product opportunities, building services, advocating for refactors, and setting technical direction.
- Up-level engineering practices in technical decisions, code hygiene, documentation, and shipping high-quality products.
- Dive deep into high-complexity problems at scale with autonomy and support.
- Lead teams flexibly between IC work and management responsibilities.

## Requirements
- 10+ years experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software at scale.
- 3+ years successfully leading and managing a team.
- Fluency in at least one backend and one frontend language, willingness to learn **Python** and **JavaScript**.
- Experience in startup environments, operating independently in ambiguity.
- Ability to ramp up quickly to product ecosystem for large projects.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to provide feedback in specs, code reviews, and discussions.
- Passion for user impact.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Track record identifying problems, driving change, stakeholder communication.
- Experience building consumer-facing products for large user bases.
- Flexibility as IC or small team manager.
- Curiosity with new technologies/stacks.

## Compensation & Benefits
- Expected compensation: **$240K - $270K** based on leveling.
