## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Advise customers and solve complex MongoDB problems across the database server, drivers, cloud, infrastructure, Atlas, and Cloud Manager ecosystems.
- Resolve customer questions involving architecture, performance, recovery, security, and operating MongoDB at scale.
- Advocate for customer needs with product management and development teams.
- Contribute to internal projects, including software development for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostic support tools.
- Complete new-hire training and the MongoDB Certified DBA Associate exam.
- Develop advanced diagnostic expertise and independently handle technical escalations.

## Requirements
- Strong technical experience in multiple areas, including:
  - Systems administration
  - Distributed systems
  - Network administration
  - Database architecture and administration
  - Application architecture
- Experience with authentication systems such as OIDC, SAML, LDAP, Kerberos, or Active Directory.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- For operations backgrounds, experience administering large-scale production environments, including hardware, operating systems such as Linux or Windows, networks, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud resources such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience managing large-scale databases, including relational databases or NoSQL databases.
- Experience using or managing MongoDB.
- Experience with distributed version control systems, particularly Git.
- Performance tuning and benchmarking experience.
- Experience with Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl.
