## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Apply accounting and finance domain expertise to identify, explore, and prototype high-impact AI opportunities for complex accounting challenges.
- Build AI-powered tools and solutions to automate accounting workflows, enhance controllership, and scale operations.
- Design and deploy autonomous AI agents using frameworks that reason, plan, and execute multi-step problems while maintaining financial reporting controls.
- Ship and maintain interactive data products and self-service analytics tools using **SQL** and **Python** (data visualization, dashboards, low-code frameworks) for real-time insights.
- Collaborate with Accounting and partner teams to uncover efficiency opportunities, document requirements, and translate financial workflows into controlled technical solutions.
- Partner with Accounting and SOX teams to assess and develop internal controls for AI-based accounting solutions.

## Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years relevant experience, including 4+ years in accounting or adjacent roles (e.g., finance systems, process improvement).
- B.A. or B.S. in Accounting, Finance, Finance Systems, or Information Systems.
- Fluency in U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced **SQL** proficiency (complex queries, CTEs, window functions, joins).
- Familiarity with modern data tools (**Python**, **Databricks**, ETL/ELT, data pipelines) and coding with AI assistance.
- Understanding of AI fundamentals and experience with AI/LLM tools, conversational interfaces, prompt engineering, automation platforms, RPA.
- Solution-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with internal controls (design, implementation, execution).

## Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with payments industry and fintech landscape.
