## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruiting: schedule interviews, configure Ashby, conduct phone screens, manage candidate correspondence, and support hiring campaigns.
- Co-own and improve onboarding from offer acceptance through the first week, including payroll and systems setup.
- Maintain employee data and optimize HR systems, including Paylocity, Ashby, benefits portals, Slack, Notion, and Google Drive.
- Identify opportunities for AI and automation to improve People Operations workflows.
- Support employees with policies, People Operations processes, meetings, and general questions.
- Administer benefits, maintain self-service resources, and support leave and benefits questions.
- Maintain payroll data, process payroll changes, communicate with Finance, and support payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Manage Denver office facilities, access, deliveries, parking, and other building logistics.
- Plan and execute team lunches, offsites, seasonal celebrations, and other events.

## Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, Talent, or a generalist/administrative role supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, or hiring.
- Experience at an organization with fewer than 200 employees.
- Exposure to state and federal compliance and employment law.
- Strong ownership, autonomy, initiative, and ability to work in an ambiguous, dynamic environment.
- Comfort using HRIS, ATS, Slack, Notion, spreadsheets, and other workplace systems.
- Interest in using AI to build efficient workflows.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, conflict-resolution, customer-service, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Must be located in the Denver area and able to work hybrid, including in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays and as needed.

## Nice-to-haves
- Prior payroll-processing experience.
- Experience at an early-stage or scaling company.
