## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and administrative review of Funding Opportunity Announcements and related documentation.
- Maintain publication, application, award, compliance, workflow, and records-tracking information.
- Monitor grant application receipt through eRA Commons and other applicable systems.
- Review applications for administrative completeness, required forms, attachments, budgets, assurances, registrations, and compliance documentation.
- Verify SF-424 applications, budget forms, budget justifications, direct costs, indirect costs, modular budgets, and related financial information.
- Prepare application intake reports, budget verification worksheets, funding summaries, cost analyses, compliance checklists, applicant risk briefs, and Just-in-Time tracking reports.
- Review documentation related to human subjects, vertebrate animals, IRB, IACUC, audits, and institutional compliance requirements.
- Draft correspondence, memoranda, administrative communications, Notice of Award documentation, funding summaries, obligation worksheets, and award processing checklists.
- Enter and maintain award information in NIH grants management and tracking systems.
- Establish and maintain electronic grantee files and administrative award documentation.
- Reconcile approved budgets against awarded amounts and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare recurring financial monitoring reports and track Federal Financial Report submissions.
- Review progress reports, no-cost extension requests, prior approval requests, and other post-award submissions for completeness and potential policy issues.
- Support administrative amendments, award modifications, and grant closeout activities.
- Prepare closeout checklists, closeout memoranda, and electronic archive packages in accordance with NIH and federal records requirements.
- Identify and escalate issues affecting award processing, financial management, compliance, or closeout.
- Prepare weekly status reports and participate in recurring grants management review meetings.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Research Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of federal grants management or grants administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal grants administration and the complete grants lifecycle.
- Experience with pre-award, award, post-award, financial monitoring, compliance, reporting, and closeout activities.
- Proficiency with SF-424 applications, budget forms, modular budgets, and indirect cost calculations.
- Strong financial analysis, grants monitoring, organizational, time management, written communication, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and identify administrative or compliance issues.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- NIH grants management experience.
- Three or more years of finance, accounting, or grants financial management experience.
- Experience with eRA Commons, IMPAC II, Microsoft Office, and federal grants management and tracking systems.
- Knowledge of NIH grants policies and federal grants requirements.
- Familiarity with human subjects, vertebrate animal, IRB, IACUC, audit, and institutional compliance requirements.
