## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Positioning and Category Strategy
- Own Fireworks’ positioning, category narrative, corporate narrative, ideal customer profile (ICP), and messaging architecture.
- Develop segment-specific narratives for AI-Native, Digital-Native, and Enterprise accounts.

### Product Launch Leadership
- Lead end-to-end go-to-market programs for major product launches with Product and Engineering.
- Own launch tiering, narrative, sales enablement, press and analyst strategy, and customer evidence.

### Competitive Intelligence and Sales Enablement
- Own competitive programs, including battlecards, win/loss analysis, deal support, and feedback loops into Product.
- Develop sales enablement curriculum for the platform and buyer-specific evaluation processes.

### Customer and Market Insights
- Lead customer, prospect, analyst, and market listening programs.
- Conduct win/loss interviews, voice-of-customer programs, and analyst relations.
- Feed insights into messaging, product strategy, and leadership decisions.

### Team and Growth
- Lead and grow the existing product marketing team.
- Hire and manage individual contributors as the function expands.

## Requirements
- 10+ years of product marketing experience, including 5+ years in a senior or leadership role.
- Experience scaling product marketing at a developer or infrastructure company.
- Track record at a technical infrastructure company, such as a database, observability, AI/ML platform, or developer tools company.
- Ability to translate deeply technical concepts into narratives for developers and executives.
- Operational ability to run structured product launch processes.
- Fluency in competitive analysis and enabling sales representatives to position against incumbents and challengers.
- Experience marketing to multiple buyer profiles, including technical practitioners and economic buyers.

## Nice to Have
- Experience marketing to AI/ML practitioners or ML platform buyers.
- Former product management or technical practitioner background.
- Experience working with a founder-led narrative.
- Familiarity with open-source go-to-market motions.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: **$270,000–$340,000**.
- Office-based role in San Mateo, with an expectation of working in the office three days per week.
