## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own key areas of the month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Lead PBC requests associated with direct and indirect tax.
- Build and improve accounting processes, documentation, and controls in a fast-evolving environment.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounting for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and cash.
- Support financial reporting, including preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Legal, and Tax to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
- Assist with external audits, including preparing PBCs and responding to auditor requests.
- Identify process gaps and drive automation and efficiency improvements using Excel, scripts, and AI-assisted workflows.
- Leverage AI tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance reporting insights.
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting systems and tools.
- Take on ad hoc projects and special initiatives as the business scales.

## Requirements
- Approximately 5 years of experience in accounting or audit; Big Four experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
- Strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Ability to take ownership and work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to execute.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Excel; familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally.

## Nice to Have
- Experience in a high-growth startup or technology environment.
- Exposure to system implementations, process automation, or data analytics.
- Experience supporting audits.
- Interest in or experience with automation, data tools, or AI-driven workflows.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $170,000–$190,000.
