## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build high-fidelity reinforcement-learning environments and training gyms for AI agents.
- Develop scalable backend and infrastructure systems using technologies such as Python, Go, and TypeScript.
- Partner directly with leading AI labs and enterprises.
- Improve frontier model quality through data, evaluation, and systems work.
- Contribute to reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards, rubric-based reward modeling, and pipelines that transform human demonstrations into training-ready environments.
- Set technical direction, drive outcomes, and remain hands-on while leading.
- Coach engineers and drive execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

## Requirements
- 4–10 years of engineering experience.
- Strong background building scalable systems.
- Comfort with core machine-learning and large-language-model concepts, including post-training, evaluation metrics, and reward modeling.
- Ability to partner effectively with researchers.
- Sound technical judgment in ambiguous environments.
- Proven ability to coach engineers and drive execution.
- Strong ownership mindset and pragmatic decision-making.
- Experience as a founding engineer, founder, or high-impact contributor at a top-tier company.
- Willingness to work in person five days per week from the New York City office.
