## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the communications strategy for France and Southern Europe, translating global company momentum, research leadership, and product innovation into locally resonant stories.
- Lead corporate communications and create landmark moments and high-quality thought-leadership materials.
- Partner strategically with go-to-market teams to strengthen Claude’s enterprise positioning and communicate responsible AI adoption in regulated industries.
- Develop policy communications with the policy team around AI’s impact on science, education, and the public sector, while addressing sovereignty, copyright, and regulation.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, creators, and influencers shaping the regional AI debate.
- Advise and prepare company spokespeople and customer executives for media engagements.
- Build team operations and agency support to scale communications.

## Requirements
- Approximately 10–12 years of communications experience.
- Experience in-house at AI or high-growth technology companies preferred.
- Strong interest in AI and its safe development.
- Demonstrated media relations expertise, particularly direct work with journalists in France.
- Strong understanding of the European AI ecosystem, including companies, founders, investors, journalists, and policymakers.
- Experience running international communications programs for a US-headquartered technology company, with significant experience in France, Italy, or Spain.
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and provide incisive executive counsel.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

## Nice-to-haves
- Fluency in Italian and/or Spanish.
- Communications experience at AI companies, high-growth startups, or research labs.
- Established relationships with influential voices in the AI debates across France, Italy, and Spain.
- Communications experience in financial services, healthcare, or life sciences.
- Understanding of AI policy dynamics in the European Union.

## Work arrangement
- Hybrid role based in Paris.
