## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive prospective reviews of medical records to validate the accuracy and completeness of **ICD-10-CM diagnosis coding**, **CPT procedure coding**, and supporting clinical documentation.
- Identify documentation gaps and risk adjustment coding opportunities to support accurate capture of patient complexity and disease burden.
- Provide timely feedback to providers on documentation gaps and coding opportunities identified through chart reviews.
- Educate providers on documentation best practices and risk adjustment requirements.
- Identify and communicate documentation trends to support ongoing improvement.
- Maintain compliance with applicable coding, documentation, and risk adjustment guidelines.
- Stay current on regulatory and industry changes affecting coding and documentation practices.
- Support coding quality reviews and audit activities as needed.

## Requirements

- CPC certification.
- Experience with risk adjustment coding and clinical documentation improvement (CDI).
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Effective listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Ability to learn and use new technologies.
- Must be located within the lower 48 United States due to contractual limitations related to accessing PHI.

## Nice to Have

- Oncology coding experience.
- CRC or CDEO certification.
- Experience with video chat, Google Suite, Slack, or electronic health records.

## Compensation and Benefits

- Non-exempt, part-time position.
- Pay rate: **$41.50/hour**.
