## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the annual event calendar, budget, and return on investment; apply an event-scoring framework to evaluate booths, walks, and passes.
- Build and run owned events, including dinners, roundtables, and hosted formats.
- Establish a recurring San Francisco community program for the Bay Area hardware and autonomy community.
- Turn every hosted or attended event into clips, photos, and Twitter posts within days.
- Grow Sift’s Twitter presence and enable the team to post alongside the company account.
- Partner with RevOps to connect events, sponsorships, opportunities, and event-sourced pipeline attribution.
- Systematize booth execution with assets, shipping and staffing procedures, collateral, lead capture, and 48-hour follow-up.
- Develop employer-brand programs such as Working at Sift and Why I Joined, featuring engineers in the content.
- Own speaking submissions and sponsorships in coordination with communications.
- Measure each program, discontinue what does not convert, and invest more in successful programs.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in field marketing, growth, events, brand, or community, with ownership of a calendar, budget, and measurable goals.
- Experience at a company during a period of significant employer-brand growth, with clear ownership of relevant initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to turn in-person events into online content that generates visibility and attendance.
- Strong Twitter presence or fluency, particularly in hard tech and defense tech communities.
- Track record of running sought-after hosted events.
- Bay Area network in hard tech, defense tech, robotics, or autonomy.
- Ability to balance event quality with funnel performance and attribution.
- Production experience directing video, photography, and editorial content and publishing quickly.
- Strong operational skills, including contracts, deposits, shipping deadlines, badge scanners, and vendor invoices.
- Comfort using CRM and marketing automation tools to build invite lists and run campaigns.
- Willingness to travel, including approximately one show per month in season, regular travel to Los Angeles, and periodic travel to Washington, DC.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual eligible under ITAR/EAR regulations.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Marketing experience in NDA-constrained environments.
- Experience opening a new market or city for a company.
- Relationships with San Francisco venue, production, and experiential vendors.
- Experience with partner and co-marketing programs, shared booths, and co-hosted events.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000–$175,000 per year.
