## Job Description

## What You’ll Do
- Own the product vision, strategy, and execution for a new marketplace.
- Lead the product from initial discovery through MVP definition, launch, iteration, and scale.
- Conduct user interviews and ongoing discovery across marketplace participants.
- Develop deep understanding of user workflows, incentives, constraints, and trust requirements.
- Design experiences supporting both human users and automated participants.
- Define how participants discover opportunities, evaluate fit, establish trust, and engage.
- Translate operational needs into clear product requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Partner with a small team of 3-5 engineers to define scope, sequence delivery, and make technical/product tradeoffs.
- Lead or support sprint planning, backlog prioritization, acceptance criteria, and product reviews.
- Use operational signals, user feedback, and product data to improve matching quality and performance.
- Balance near-term experimentation with longer-term scalable platform development.
- Brief executive leadership on strategy, progress, risks, tradeoffs, and decisions.
- Create alignment across engineering, users, and leadership.

## Must Have
- Demonstrated experience taking a product or major capability from 0→1.
- Experience as a Product Manager with meaningful ownership of strategy and execution.
- Strong user interview, discovery, and synthesis skills.
- Experience defining and launching MVPs, using feedback and signals for iteration.
- Deep understanding of user experience, workflows, and how product decisions shape behavior.
- Experience working closely with technical leads and engineers to scope, prioritize, and sequence development.
- Ability to operate effectively with a small engineering team and provide execution clarity.
- Strong product judgment in ambiguous or low-signal environments.
- Ability to communicate complex decisions to technical teams and executive leadership.

## Nice To Have
- Experience leading product development sprints and maintaining strong acceptance criteria.
- Experience building marketplace, platform, matching, or multi-sided network products.
- Experience designing products requiring trust, transparency, identity, reputation, or access controls.
- Experience building products for multiple participant types with different workflows and incentives.
- Experience with AI-driven or agentic products.
- Experience designing products used by both humans and automated systems.
- Experience in government, defense, intelligence, cybersecurity, or mission-driven environments.
