## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded software for body, thermal, lighting, and door functions of the Zoox vehicle.
- Create software requirements, design documentation, test plans, and other supporting documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with vehicle, controls, electrical, validation, and other engineering teams to deliver a seamless, highly automated vehicle experience.
- Integrate supplier subsystems into the Zoox software stack.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including prototyping, requirements capture, design, implementation, and validation.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience developing real-time embedded software for distributed electromechanical systems.
- Strong C++ and C programming experience, including object-oriented programming.
- Experience with embedded microcontrollers and/or microprocessors, such as ARM or PowerPC.
- Understanding of sensors, motors, and actuators.
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and system debugging.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Basic knowledge of control systems for electromechanical systems.
- Experience with CAN and LIN analysis and debugging tools, including PCAN, CANalyzer, or CANape.
