> Build and scale developer infrastructure at Sentry including local/cloud dev environments, CI/CD pipelines, service golden paths, SDK publishing, metrics, and flaky test detection. Requires 5+ years software engineering experience, strong Python skills, Docker/container orchestration, and a track record improving developer tooling.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the tooling that powers local and cloud-based developer environments.
- Improve CI for our codebases and CD for our deployment pipeline, keeping both fast and reliable as the org and its infrastructure grow.
- Define and evolve the golden path for building new services and libraries at Sentry.
- Contribute to our SDK and library publishing tooling and release processes.
- Build the metrics, dashboards, and flaky test detection that give the org visibility into deployment health and CI reliability.
- Build tooling that gives engineers, and the AI coding agents they work with, the context they need to work effectively within Sentry's systems and conventions.
- Partner directly with engineers across Sentry to understand where infrastructure and developer experience need to improve.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience leading the full development lifecycle of complex projects.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration in production.
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and what makes them fast and reliable at scale.
- A track record of building or significantly improving developer tooling or infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams outside your own, building buy-in for standards, tooling, or process changes without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Excitement about building infrastructure that every engineer at Sentry depends on.
- Ability to think in systems and reason about tradeoffs across scale, reliability, cost, and complexity.
- Comfort owning a broad surface area, from developer environments to deployment pipelines to publishing tooling.
- Interest in shaping foundational infrastructure rather than iterating on something already established.
- Eagerness to grow even if not meeting 100% of the qualifications.
