## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Review and ensure timely filings and payments for all customers in the UK alongside the R&D team.
- Drive issue resolution and communicate with government agencies.
- Answer payroll-related customer questions and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
- Reconcile and validate payroll outputs, including payslips, tax filings, and social security contributions.
- Conduct periodic payroll audits to ensure data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll issues.
- Document processes and tasks to streamline operations and share knowledge across the department.
- Work with Global Payroll Engineering and Product teams to ensure payroll software supports UK payroll and tax compliance requirements.
- Help address product bugs and issues, including calculation errors and file-generation errors.
- Help prioritize and implement internal tooling requirements and automated solutions.
- Participate in special projects to improve payroll processes.

## Requirements
- Deep understanding of UK payroll and tax compliance requirements, including tax calculations, filing and payment requirements, and tax notice resolution.
- Experience handling audits, queries, calls, and disputes with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing role.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with confidence leading client calls about complex issues.
- Ability to manage and resolve customer support tickets.
- Strong project management, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex payroll calculations and reconciliations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous-learning mindset to stay current with UK payroll regulations and best practices.
- Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office, especially Docs, Sheets, and Excel.

## Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Salesforce queues, JIRA, and Confluence.
