## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions for complex problems.
- Write well-designed, testable, clean, efficient, maintainable, scalable, and extensible code.
- Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partners.
- Support business needs during US hours.
- Represent engineering to clients and product support, and guide engineering communications.
- Communicate technical ideas and set project direction while solving business challenges.
- Mentor other engineers.
- Participate in the design and development of a strategic product for Addepar.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- **8+ years of software engineering experience.**
- Expert-level backend development experience, particularly with Java.
- Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
- Deep knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to influence technical direction and contribute significantly to the architecture of complex, distributed systems.
- Expertise with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with automated infrastructure and service-oriented architecture in cloud environments.
- Strong ownership mentality and drive to solve important problems.

## Nice to Have
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and related technologies.
- Experience mentoring engineers and amplifying team impact.
