## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Support field engineering and site coordination on large-scale power generation construction projects.
- Assist with contractor and vendor submittal, RFI, and Field Engineering Directive reviews.
- Review construction execution plans, including lift, flush, hydro, purge, and pre-commissioning plans.
- Track construction progress, milestones, open items, punch lists, and change orders.
- Inspect contractor workmanship and compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes; document and escalate non-conformances.
- Support mechanical completion, system turnover, commissioning, startup, functional testing, loop checks, and performance verification.
- Maintain daily field reports, inspection records, project documentation, and as-built redlines.
- Track work permits and support site safety compliance with the HSE representative.
- Contribute to engineering, construction, and commissioning standards and procedures.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of field engineering, construction management, or inspection experience on power generation, oil and gas, or heavy industrial projects.
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical construction and commissioning in industrial or power generation environments.
- Knowledge of concrete foundations, rebar placement, and formwork.
- Knowledge of structural steel erection, sequencing, connections, and field inspection.
- Knowledge of electrical power installation, including conduit, cable tray, cable pulling, terminations, and grounding.
- Knowledge of piping construction, pipe supports, welding inspection, pressure testing, and system cleanliness.
- Familiarity with power generation equipment, including gas turbines, reciprocating engines, generators, switchgear, and auxiliary systems.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as NFPA 70, ASME B31.1/B31.3/B31.8, NEC, and ANSI/IEEE.
- Experience supporting contractor submittal, RFI, and construction execution document reviews.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent scheduling software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work extended site assignments, travel weekly to remote project sites, or reside at project sites during peak construction and commissioning.
- Ability to work on active construction sites, traverse uneven terrain, climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs, lift up to 40 pounds, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing PPE.
- Ability to pass a background check and participate in required drug, alcohol, and safety programs.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Engineer-in-Training certification.
- Active pursuit of FE or PE licensure.
- Experience with data center power infrastructure or modular substation execution.
