## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive testing procedures for switchboard assemblies, including visual inspections, electrical continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, functional tests, operational checks, and energized functionality testing.
- Follow detailed test procedures and checklists to evaluate switchgear performance against engineering specifications and industry standards.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and safely use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and Hi-Pot testers.
- Record and document test data, identify trends and discrepancies, and generate clear test reports.
- Document test failures and non-conformances; collaborate with engineering and production teams on root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure testing complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, UL 891, IEEE, ANSI, and internal quality-management requirements.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement.
- Train production personnel on basic quality checks and switchgear testing procedures.
- Maintain organized records of test procedures, results, and calibration records.
- Perform other quality-related tasks supporting operational efficiency and quality objectives.

## Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field is preferred. Equivalent field experience may be considered.
- At least five years of experience in electrical testing and quality control, focused on medium- and/or low-voltage switchgear assemblies.
- Thorough understanding of electrical testing principles, methodologies, and safety practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear components, functionality, and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining electrical testing equipment.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift components, and perform detailed inspections requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
- Willingness to follow safety regulations and participate in required safety training, drug and alcohol programs, and other requirements of a safety-sensitive facility.
- Strong attention to detail, electrical-safety commitment, analytical and problem-solving skills, and communication skills.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Electrical testing or quality-control certifications, such as NETA certification.
- Experience with automated testing systems.
- Knowledge of data acquisition and analysis software.
- Manufacturing experience with high-reliability electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective-action processes for electrical failures.
