## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Support commercial operations and strategic initiatives across North America.
- Manage the full customer contract lifecycle across the Americas, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented guidance on legal inquiries from internal teams.
- Support procurement and vendor-management processes, with a focus on risk assessment and compliance.
- Advise legal, security, product, and commercial teams on data protection matters related to SaaS contracts, customer negotiations, RFPs, and calls for tenders.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Finance, and Systems/IT to maintain and develop contract lifecycle management systems, documentation, and public-facing templates.
- Deliver internal training on contracts, privacy, data protection, marketing, and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze commercial, privacy, AI, and cybersecurity regulatory developments relevant to the company.
- Oversee occasional litigation-related inquiries in coordination with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.

## Requirements
- J.D. or LL.B. degree.
- Good standing with a relevant Bar Association.
- At least 5 years of experience in a top-tier or technology law firm and/or as in-house counsel at a fast-growing technology company, ideally a SaaS startup or scale-up.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial enterprise agreements.
- Working knowledge of EU and US data protection and privacy laws.
- Admission to practice law in the United States.

## Compensation and Benefits
- New York City/San Francisco: $200,000–$250,000 USD.
- Toronto: $170,000–$200,000 CAD.
