## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Define comprehensive, testable system requirements for new hardware products from product to component level.
- Define system architecture, conduct system and subsystem design reviews, and establish component selection criteria.
- Define and implement cross-functional system behaviors and telemetry for lifecycle performance, health, and field diagnostics.
- Perform system bring-up and performance verification during new product introduction.
- Triage early system failures across mechanical, electrical, embedded, and autonomy domains; drive root-cause analysis, resolution, and verification.
- Analyze flight telemetry and field data to conduct risk assessments, inform prognostic and condition-based maintenance protocols, and implement mitigations.
- Develop processes and tools for product development and testing, including software and hardware test infrastructure, system maturity and risk tracking, and accountability systems.

## Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience defining, designing, analyzing, testing, modeling, and delivering highly reliable electromechanical systems in rapid-development environments.
- Systems-engineering approach to problem solving across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
- Experience designing and executing system bring-up and performance verification tests.
- Mechatronic prototyping and fabrication skills for fixture development.
- Knowledge of design-for-reliability principles, physics of failure, and integration risks involving PCB assemblies, motors, batteries, cameras, compute modules, or sensors.
- Experience with Python and/or SQL for dataset analysis, reliability analysis, specification definition, risk assessment, and scripting commands for electromechanical systems.
- Ability to identify and prioritize risks, communicate hardware and systems reliability concepts, and drive cross-functional resolution.

## Nice-to-have
- FAA Part 107 certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 60 days of employment.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $149,000–$200,000.
