## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and operate discovery operations across the full EDRM lifecycle, including preservation, collection, processing, hosting, review, and production for conventional and AI-specific data types.
- Own legal hold operations, including custodian identification, issuance and tracking, re-notification, acknowledgments, and defensible release.
- Administer RelativityOne and preservation, collection, analytics, and review tooling across Slack, Google Workspace, internal systems, and other enterprise data sources.
- Create defensible, repeatable discovery standard operating procedures and playbooks.
- Manage discovery vendors, including selection, onboarding, statements of work, pricing, SLAs, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate discovery matters among in-house and outside counsel, vendors, Security, IT, engineering, and other stakeholders.
- Support retention schedules, data classification, defensible disposition, data inventories, and governed retention and collection paths for ESI sources.
- Build measurement and reporting for matter status, holds, data volumes, vendor spend, cycle time, review quality, and discovery trends.
- Integrate generative AI, advanced analytics, custom Relativity applications, and agentic automation into discovery workflows.
- Support litigation, investigations, and regulatory inquiries by coordinating workstreams, vendor execution, risks, and costs.
- Build internal tools and dashboards for legal holds, preservation, collection, early case assessment, production, and cross-matter reporting.

## Requirements
- Hands-on experience across the full EDRM lifecycle with ownership of complex discovery operations.
- Experience founding or rebuilding discovery operations, selecting platforms and vendors, and creating defensible operating playbooks.
- Working knowledge of RelativityOne, including administration, search, analytics, TAR/predictive coding, custom applications, and AI workflows.
- Understanding of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, discovery and evidence requirements, ESI preservation, and proportionality.
- Experience with Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Box, mobile, engineering systems, and novel data sources.
- Experience managing discovery vendors, contracts, SLAs, pricing models, and performance across concurrent providers.
- Strong project management and communication skills across legal, executive, engineering, and non-technical stakeholders.

## Nice-to-haves
- 8+ years of hands-on discovery experience across the full EDRM lifecycle.
- Experience building discovery operations at a young or rapidly scaling company.
- Experience partnering with engineering and product teams to deliver hold-capable and collection-capable features.
- Experience integrating generative AI and agentic workflows, including Claude or Claude Code, into discovery operations.
- Technical fluency with infrastructure APIs, AWS, GCP, data pipelines, version control, and small scripts.
- Experience operating information governance programs involving retention, classification, defensible disposition, and data mapping.
- Experience managing discovery budgets, vendor portfolios, pricing strategy, cost recovery, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborative, hands-on approach with integrity and curiosity.

## Compensation
- Annual compensation range: $220,000–$285,000.
