## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and implement an efficient pipeline using state-of-the-art video-streaming techniques to deliver high-priority, real-time data streams.
- Build an offline streaming simulation and emulation framework to iterate on video-streaming algorithms and predict online performance.
- Test systems in real-world environments, gather feedback, and drive innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on on-road network-metric collection.
- Build the core communication system and cloud platform connecting vehicles and teleoperation operators.

## Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field, or a bachelor's/master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Go.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, congestion control, and computer networking.
- Strong communication skills.

## Nice-to-haves
- Network simulation experience, such as Network Simulator 3.
- Experience collecting real-road LTE network metrics.
- Video-streaming framework experience, such as WebRTC.
- Understanding of video codecs including VP8, VP9, H.264, and H.265.
- GPU programming experience.

## Compensation
- Base pay range: $160,000–$240,000 annually.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
