## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and build customer workflows in Alex, including triggers, filters, interview guides, and actions in applicant tracking systems.
- Build, maintain, and own integrations with applicant tracking systems, assessment providers, identity verification systems, and other customer workflow systems.
- Drive design, development, testing, rollout, and verification of customer-specific capabilities.
- Lead technical onboarding, including connections, permissions and scopes, job imports, field mapping, workflow configuration, test interviews, and go-live.
- Own production deployments and diagnose customer and candidate issues to root cause.
- Build monitoring and observability that identifies problems before customers report them.
- Represent customer needs to product engineering with evidence-based feedback.
- Conduct customer working sessions and communicate technical decisions clearly.

## Requirements
- Demonstrated software engineering ability, including reading code, writing code, and shipping production changes.
- Comfort working with third-party systems and incomplete documentation.
- Strong debugging and evidence-gathering skills.
- Ability to work directly with customers and communicate difficult information clearly.
- Strong written communication skills.

## Nice-to-haves
- Forward-deployed, implementation, solutions, or integrations engineering experience.
- Experience working with a large number of third-party systems.
- Experience building against complex enterprise APIs.
- Fluency with observability tooling, including logs, traces, dashboards, and alerting.
