## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Answer engine visibility
- Run competitive queries in Profound to assess Nylas visibility across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini.
- Track Nylas citation share against Cronofy, Recall AI, Unipile, Cal.com, Aurinko, and Unified.
- Identify prompts where competitors are cited but Nylas is not, and investigate the reasons.
- Summarize findings and present trends, opportunities, and recommendations to the marketing team.

### Page optimization for AI citation
- Audit existing pages for issues that prevent LLM citation, including self-promotion bias, limited competitor context, outdated pricing, weak FAQ coverage, and missing schema markup.
- Recommend and implement fixes on high-priority product comparison guides, use-case content, and solution pages.
- Measure the impact of content improvements using Profound and other SEO metrics, iterating based on results.

### Content collaboration
- Partner with the content team on blog posts and web pages, incorporating AEO insights from Profound.
- Contribute prompts and queries to test the AI answer landscape before publication.
- Apply SEO fundamentals alongside AI-search optimization.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and Content teams to identify AI-first content opportunities.

## Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, English, or a related field, or graduated within the last 12 months.
- Junior or senior standing preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
- Curiosity about how AI-generated answers are sourced, ranked, and cited.
- Clear writing skills and comfort working across a distributed marketing team.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast-paced, AI-first environment.

## Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
- Exposure to AEO platforms such as Profound, Otterly, or Peec AI.
- Completion or review of Profound University.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
- Approximately 6–12 week duration, with flexibility based on academic schedule and availability.
- Flexible working hours with expected team-meeting overlap.
- Compensation of $22–$25 per hour.
- Hands-on experience with AI visibility and SEO platforms.
- Collaboration with experienced marketers and content creators on measurable projects.

## Interview Process
- 30-minute Google Meet discussion with the Hiring Manager.
- Practical AEO and SEO optimization exercise.
- Team loop of two or three 45-minute Google Meet discussions with cross-functional team members.
