## Job Description

## Role Scope
- Own the BOMs for modular designs: complete, structured, and costed from concept through release.
- Build the estimating engine: costs by assembly and configuration that quote a unit in hours, not weeks.
- Keep design and BOM in lockstep: every revision reconciled, every delta explained.
- Feed procurement and finance: quantities and costs they can order and budget against.

## Requirements
- Built and managed engineering BOMs for complex products or construction.
- Estimated at both speed and rigor, and tracked estimate against actual.
- Structure data properly: parents, children, and effectivity done right.
- Reconcile relentlessly across CAD, ERP, and reality.
- Automate takeoffs and rollups rather than grinding them.

## Nice-to-Haves
- PLM and ERP systems.
- Steel and MEP takeoff.
- Cost engineering methods.
- Data center equipment familiarity.
