## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Set the creative strategy for how Convex shows up across brand and product, prioritizing the highest-impact work.
- Own the Convex brand and identity across every touchpoint, including product design, marketing, events, and the website.
- Execute the work directly in Figma and the codebase alongside creative freelancers and founders.
- Build a small, world-class creative team as the company grows.
- Set and maintain a high bar for taste, craft, simplicity, and authenticity.
- Review and eliminate inauthentic or overly promotional marketing.
- Create high-quality brand and product experiences.

## Requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating range across brand systems and product design.
- Strong taste, creative judgment, and a track record of shipping excellent work.
- Ability to set creative direction and execute hands-on.
- Strategic prioritization skills across a broad surface area.
- Experience building or leading a small creative team.
- Ability to develop and maintain a coherent creative vision.
- Understanding of technical, developer-focused audiences and their expectations.
- Commitment to simple, intentional design.
- Constructive, positive, and collaborative approach in a startup environment.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience designing for developer tools or technical audiences.
- Interest in working in person at Convex's San Francisco office.
