## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Contribute to the vision, strategy, and development of a multi-platform reporting system that is efficient, scalable, and responsive to diverse user needs.
- Advocate for data quality, correctness, scalability, and latency standards.
- Spearhead new initiatives, code and document components, and write and review system design documents.
- Partner with engineers, designers, product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, and other teams to understand customer requirements and co-create solutions.
- Plan strategically for short- and long-term platform and product initiatives.
- Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant metrics delivery systems and data pipelines.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Understanding of distributed systems.
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, and web frameworks such as Rails.
- High proficiency with SQL, including complex queries for data analysis and debugging.
- Ability to design systems for scale.
- Strong communication, analytical, debugging, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Strong ownership of large codebases and diverse product suites.
- Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at manager, director, and VP levels.

## Nice to Have
- Experience in the digital advertising industry.
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, Flink, Hive, Kafka, and streaming and batch data pipelines.
- Distributed system design experience.
- Strong programming and algorithm skills.
- Strong attention to detail, implementation accuracy, edge cases, and code reviews.
- Data-driven mindset.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Canadian base pay range: **CAN$168,000–$177,500 CAD**.
- Eligible for a new-hire equity grant and annual refresh grants.
- Benefits and compensation may vary based on location, experience, and required skills.
