## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software components supporting internal business intelligence tooling and platforms used to generate and retrieve operational metrics.
- Implement testing strategies to prevent regressions and ensure accuracy, stability, and long-term maintainability.
- Improve code quality and system reliability through refactoring and architectural and performance enhancements.
- Build and optimize user-facing and internal platform features for scalability, performance, fault tolerance, and efficient data access.
- Translate business requirements into technical plans in collaboration with product teams, internal users, and subject-matter experts.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.

## Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of professional experience in software development for backend systems.
- 7 years of experience developing backend software with object-oriented programming principles and Java in production environments.
- 7 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases and distributed systems, including data storage, streaming, and processing technologies.
- 7 years of experience architecting, implementing, and supporting high-scale, highly available applications for metrics, analytics, or data-intensive workloads.
- 7 years of experience developing data-processing and platform solutions using Python, SQL, and cloud-based data tools.
- 7 years of experience developing and supporting AWS-based microservices and data pipelines for analytics platforms and operational reporting systems.
- 7 years of experience implementing streaming or messaging architectures with event-driven platforms.
- 5 years of experience designing and maintaining business intelligence and data-visualization workflows.
- 5 years of experience translating business requirements into technical architecture, data pipelines, and application features with cross-functional stakeholders.
- 4 years of experience designing and implementing microservices architectures and developing GraphQL services and RESTful APIs for large-scale, data-driven applications.

## Compensation and Benefits
- US base salary range: **$193,461–$240,000 per year**, plus equity and benefits.
