## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate scalable backend and infrastructure systems
- Develop and maintain services that support real-time and batch data processing
- Contribute to core platform components (compute, storage, orchestration, and tooling)
- Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across services and workflows
- Collaborate with data and ML teams to support data ingestion, processing, and production use cases
- Optimize systems for scalability, cost, and efficiency in cloud environments
- Build internal tools and abstractions that improve developer velocity and system consistency
- Contribute to secure and compliant infrastructure design

## Requirements
**Must-Have:**
- 3–7+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
- Familiarity with real-time or batch data processing systems (e.g., Kafka, Spark, or similar technologies)
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and reliability principles
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and distributed storage systems
- Ability to work across the stack and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving startup environment with high ownership

**Nice-to-Have:**
- Experience with data infrastructure or data platforms
- Familiarity with stream processing or messaging systems
- Exposure to ML infrastructure or data-driven product features
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, etc.)
- Background in security or high-sensitivity data environments
