## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship features across iOS and Android apps, including required backend changes.
- Own releases from code cut through app-store submission on both platforms.
- Extend release automation to reduce manual effort and catch issues before release.
- Build tests, instrumentation, and review gates that enable high-quality releases without a manual QA pass.
- Drive mobile architecture decisions through adoption across the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product and design on feature prioritization and product decisions.
- Use coding agents where they provide leverage, and improve the associated tools, guardrails, and workflows.

## Requirements
- Production experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, including shipping shared KMP code or determining appropriate shared boundaries.
- Production code shipped outside the primary platform within the last two years, including iOS, backend, or web; experience shipping on both iOS and Android is a strong plus.
- Experience leading a significant mobile architecture or platform change from proposal through adoption.
- Familiarity with APIs, entitlements, and analytics, and the ability to implement the services needed by mobile features.
- Strong quality practices with automation as the default and deliberate use of device testing.
- Active experience using AI coding agents, including evaluating their output and establishing appropriate trust boundaries.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including effective pull requests and design notes.
- Pragmatic judgment when balancing delivery speed and quality.

## Nice-to-haves
- Compose Multiplatform.
- CallKit or the Android telecom framework.
- CarPlay, Android Auto, watchOS, or Wear OS companion experiences.
- In-app subscription platforms such as RevenueCat.
- Mobile CI/CD and release tooling such as Bitrise or Runway.

## Compensation and benefits
- Annual base salary: $170,000–$228,000.
