## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluation phases in hands-on environments throughout the sales process as a pre-sales Solutions Architect for analytics, AI, big data, and public cloud.
- Act as a technical advisor to the sales team and collaborate with product teams to address customer requirements in the field.
- Help customers achieve concrete, data-driven outcomes using the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Help data teams complete projects and integrate the platform into enterprise ecosystems.
- Propose solutions with the sales team to address customer challenges in big data, analytics, data engineering, and data science.
- Serve as an expert in big data analytics architecture and design.
- Guide prospects through Databricks evaluation and adoption.
- Create reference architectures, high-level implementation and migration plans, and demonstration applications.
- Integrate Databricks and third-party applications to support customer architectures.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and meetups to engage the technical community.
- Build successful relationships with clients in the assigned segment and deliver technical and business value alongside sales.
- Discover customer use cases.
- Optimize existing customers' Databricks environments.
- Contribute to Databricks product improvements.

## Requirements
- Experience engaging with external clients in pre-sales or post-sales roles across various industries.
- Experience demonstrating technical concepts through presentations and whiteboarding.
- Experience designing and implementing architectures in public clouds, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience working with enterprise accounts.
- Fluent communication in Japanese and business-level reading and writing in English.
- Foundational technical understanding of data or machine learning/AI domains.
- SQL coding skills.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with core strengths in data engineering or data science.
- Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, AI, data science, data engineering, Hadoop, or Cassandra.
- Fluent Apache Spark coding experience using Python, Scala, Java, or R.
- Development experience in data or machine learning/AI, particularly coding with Python and libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
