## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical partner to Payroll, translating business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
- Lead end-to-end technical configuration for Workday Payroll changes, including requirements, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Support onboarding of new payroll countries through configuration, testing, and knowledge transfer.
- Evaluate and pilot new Workday Payroll features and functionality.
- Automate and modernize repetitive payroll processes using Workday automation, integrations, and agent-based tools.
- Lead strategic Workday projects from discovery through deployment.
- Provide Workday HCM and Payroll operations support, including ticket resolution, data access requests, report writing, and integration error management.
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex HCM, Payroll, and security issues.
- Develop Workday configurations, dashboards, and custom reports.
- Partner with Payroll, Compliance, Legal, and Internal Audit on payroll compliance controls, access certifications, tax and leave obligations, and year-end processes.
- Share knowledge, support peers, and escalate risks and roadblocks early.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS or People Systems, including 3+ years of deep configuration experience with Workday HCM, Reporting, Time and Absence, and Payroll modules.
- Experience handling highly confidential information and supporting critical business operations.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional projects in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
- Deep understanding of payroll processing, calculations, costing, retro payroll, reconciliations, auditing, and security.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

## Nice-to-haves
- Workday Payroll certifications for the US and Canada.
- Understanding of EIBs, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors.
- Experience with Workday automation tools, AI-driven features, or agent-based capabilities such as Workday Illuminate or Extend.
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll implementations in new countries.
